U18 SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMP
The Art Of Surfing (TAOS) will be running a two-day coaching camp for junior surfers between the ages of fourteen and eighteen who are looking to take their surfing to a higher performance level.
INTRODUCTION
Our 2-Day U18 School Holiday Camp is an exciting and intensive surf experience designed for more advanced young surfers aged 14 - 18 who want to master performance techniques and competitive surfing.
The camp will be based in Oakura, Taranaki, where there are plenty of options to find an uncrowded wave, ensuring the best conditions for the day!
TOM BUTLAND - Head Coach
The Art of Surfing is excited to welcome Raglan WSL wildcard Tom Butland to our coaching team.
Tom’s journey with TAOS began at just eight years old, training under Matt and immersing himself in the TAOS methodology from the very start. Now, at 23, Tom brings a wealth of experience as both a high-level competitor and a dedicated coach.
As a recent WSL wildcard, Tom is passionate about pushing the boundaries of surfing in New Zealand—especially by helping young surfers progress their aerial skills and progressive maneuvers.
“Having grown up in the TAOS system, I know firsthand how powerful the right coaching can be. I’m excited to help the next generation of surfers unlock their potential and chase their dreams.” – Tom Butland
